Washinkan

児童養護施設　和進館児童ホーム（名古屋市守山区）
   
”Washinkan” is a facility for children aged 2~18 who can’t live with their parents because of child abuse etc. In a family-like atmosphere and with counseling support and therapy, their aim is to enable the children to get opportunities for experiences they wouldn’t have otherwise, and to help them to become self-reliant adults. Funds in the past were used for an overnight ski trip. Ski trips are great opportunity to make good memories for children who otherwise would not have a chance to spend a night at a hotel or ever experience a sleepover trip. It is also good for them to gain interest in skiing and to become more independent. By staying at the same inn every year, children get to have a good relationship with the people at the inn as well, increasing their circle of friends and acquaintances – also an important part of growing up. Washinkan hopes to fund a similar ski trip this year.
       
虐待等のために、親と一緒に生活出来ない2〜18歳までの児童が生活している。家庭的な雰囲気の中で、カウンセリング、セラピー等の心理的援助や、日常生活の支援を受けることにより、子供達が今まで体験出来なかったことを体験し、一般の子供と同じように自立出来るよう援助している。過去のウォーカソンによる支援金は、泊まりでのスキー旅行に使用している。スキー旅行は、普段泊まりで旅行に行く機会のない子供達にとって、楽しい思い出となっている。スキーに興味を持ち、自立していく姿も頼もしい。毎年同じ民宿を利用しており、民宿の人達との関係も子供達の成長に良い影響を与えている。今年も支援金はスキー旅行に使用する予定。

Petit Village

プティ　ヴィラージュ（岡崎市）
   
Petit Village provides a homelike environment that normally would be provided by the family to children who can’t be brought up by their parents because of child abuse, neglect and financial reasons and so on, so that children can enjoy their lives. They also provide support for psychological trauma and provide guidance and family therapy for parents to strengthen their communication and relationships within their family. Petit Village also finds foster-families for children who can’t go back to their own family for various reasons.  Funds have been used in the past to purchase a kiln, cameras and materials for therapy. By reflecting on themselves and listening to themselves during therapy, the goal is to have the children gain self-confidence and pride in who they are and what they can do. Petit Village hopes to be able to purchase folk music instruments and supplies for ceramics (to assist with therapy).
   
虐待、ネグレクト、保護者の養育困難などの事情により、本来の家庭で暮らすことが出来ない子供達が、いきいきと日々暮らせるよう、家庭的な生活環境を提供する。子供達が心に受けた傷を癒したり、本来の家族とのつながりを豊かにするために保護者への助言、指導や家族療法を行なう。また、家族とのつながりが見込めない場合には里親委託も行なっている。過去の支援金では、表現療法に用いる陶芸釜やカメラ等を購入した。表現療法で、自分と向き合い、語りかける作業を通して、自己肯定感を高め自分に自信を持てるようになる。今年の支援金では、民族楽器、陶芸備品など、表現療法に関わる備品を購入する予定。

Yotsuba no Kai

NPO法人　四ツ葉の会（岡崎市）
   
 “Yotsuba no Kai” provides home-care service for people with mental disabilities and help them get involved in a variety of social activities.  Funds from previous Walkathons were used to purchase an aluminum can compressor for a vocational aid program. The new compressor made their work easier and work efficiency was improved.  “Yotsuba-no-Kai” hopes to purchase a computer and peripherals with donated funds this year.
   
知的障害者のためのホームヘルプサービス、社会参加支援を行なう。過去の支援金では、作業に使用するアルミ缶圧縮機を購入。これにより、 作業が楽になり、作業効率も上がった。今年の支援金では、パソコンとその周辺機器を購入予定。

Nagoya Te o Tsunagu Ikuseikai

社会福祉法人　名古屋手をつなぐ育成会（名古屋市熱田区）

“Nagoya Te o Tsunagu Ikuseikai” provides support for people with mental disabilities to become more self-reliant and get them involved in social activities. They hope to improve the social welfare system and develop more social awareness and support from the community so that people with disabilities are able to have as normal a life as possible and become contributing members to society. Having disabilities prevent them from participating community activities against their will. “Nagoya Te o Tsunagu Ikuseikai” is working to help them become more self-reliant as they face a variety of stark challenges such as aging and death of parents/guardians who typically look after them. Thanks to funds raised previously, they were able to purchase a computer for publicity and educational activities (making newsletters, etc.) with previous funds, and they hope to develop a program for school-age children with disabilities during summer vacation and other programs to support activities of people with disabilities.
   
知的障害者の自立支援、社会活動参加支援を行なう。障害のある人が、社会の構成員として地域で普通の生活が出来るよう、よりよい福祉サービスの確立と、地域の人々のあたたかい理解と協力を願って活動している。本人の意思はあっても知的障害があることが地域活動への参加の妨げとなっている。障害者の自立を目指しているが、高齢化、保護者が死亡した後の問題等の課題が多い。過去の支援金では、広報・啓発活動（会報の発行）に使用するパソコンを購入した。今年の支援金は、幼児・学齢児が夏休み中の支援を受ける事業や、障害者の活動支援事業に充てる予定。

Kiroro 

重度の人達の自立を支援する会　きろろ（名古屋市中川区）
   
Kiroro provides support and facilities for people with severe disabilities.  Funds in the past have been used for facility renovations, fire-proof curtains, electric appliances and a computer
重度障害者のケアーホームの生活支援。過去の支援金は施設改修工事費や、防災カーテン、電化製品、パソコンなどの購入に充てられた。

Navel

重度障害者と共に未来を拓く会　ねーぶる（名古屋市南区）
   
“Navel” opened a daytime facility for people with severe disabilities and a residential care institution that is operated by a separate social welfare organization. “Navel” also issues newsletters covering disability issues, plans events, and donates any earned revenue. Through funds in the past, Navel was able to organize events such as community get-together and a movie viewing events, and purchase a weaving machine, a sawing machine, musical instruments, a computer and a printer
   
重度障害者の日中活動施設、家庭に代わるホームを開所し、既存の社会福祉法人にホームの運営を依頼した。現在は重度障害者についての会報発行、企画、事業収益の寄付等を行なっている。過去の支援金では、地域交流会や映画上映会などのイベントの費用や、織り機、ミシン、楽器等の教材、パソコン、プリンターなどを購入した。

Support 2

重度の人達の自立を支援する会　サポート２（名古屋市南区）

”Support 2” provides support for people with severe disabilities and hopes to use funds for renovating facilities.
重度障害者の生活支援を行なう。今年の支援金は、施設立て替えの資金とする予定。

Work Center Friends Hoshizaki

ワークセンター　フレンズ星崎（名古屋市南区）
   
 “Work Center Friends Hoshizaki” is a facility that teaches vocational skills to people with mental disabilities. They hope to motivate them to get higher labor charge* from manufacturing work, and cultivating independence through various activities. “Work Center Friends Hoshizaki”  have used funds from previous walkathons to support facility renovations which were completed in March, and hopes to purchase more manufacturing equipment and audio-visual aids for severely disabled people. The renovated facility is more accessible for quadriplegics and they expect an increase in the number of users/workers.

一般就労が困難な知的障害者の働く場。高い工賃*を目指しての生産活動や、様々な活動から主体性を育む。過去の支援金は、２００８年３月に完了した施設改修の費用に充てられた。今年の支援金は、作業設備の導入や、重度障害者のための視聴覚教材に使用する予定。施設改修により、四肢麻痺を持つ人にとっても利用しやすい建物となり、より多くの人の利用が見込まれる。

Yutaka Fukushi-Kai

社会福祉法人　ゆたか福祉会（名古屋市緑区）
   
 “Yutaka Fukushi-Kai” operates a facility that teaches vocational skills to people with disabilities, help them find employment, and provide support and consultation service to become more self-reliant. It is the first such vocational aid facility in Japan, and recent renovations funded partially by donations from previous Walkathons have made facilities more accessible and the number of consultation cases have increased. Previous funds have also supported a food catering business project.
   
障害者のための作業場の運営、就労支援、自立生活の支援、相談支援活動を行なう、全国で初めての共同作業所。支援金を使用しての施設改修により、多くの障害者にとって利用しやすい場所になり、相談件数が増加した。また、支援金を資金とした弁当事業も軌道にのりつつある。

Shirasagi

しらさぎ福祉園（津島市）
   
 “Shirasagi” provides support and vocational training for people with mental disabilities. Thanks to funds in the past, “Shirasagi” was able to purchase a variety of necessary items such as tables, chairs, a projector, art supplies and a car navigation system.  They hope to use contributions from this year to fund a 20th anniversary event.
   
知的障害者のための生活支援、作業支援。過去の支援金により、作業用机、椅子、プロジェクター、画材やカーナビなど様々な備品を購入した。今年の支援金は、施設創立２０周年記念のイベントに使用する予定。

Safuran

社会福祉法人さふらん会　さふらん生活園（名古屋市中区）
   
Safuran is an organization that offers a chance for people with disabilities to learn vocational skills and gain self-confidence through making a variety items for sale through baking and handcrafts. They sell products such as cookies, mats and postcards, and they also collect and recycle aluminum cans and paper products. Thanks to previous funds donated to Safuran, they were able to purchase a blender for baking, an aluminum can compressor, a karaoke machine and a video projector. They hope to purchase another can compressor and more supplies to support their various projects.
   
知的障害者の授産施設（就業や技能取得が困難な人物に対し、就労の場や技能取得を手助けする施設）。クッキー、マット、手すきハガキなどの製造、販売、アルミ缶や古紙の回収、リサイクル活動を行なう。過去の支援金では、クッキー製造用ミキサー、アルミ缶圧縮機、カラオケセット、ビデオプロジェクターなどを購入した。今年の支援金は、アルミ缶圧縮機やその他の備品の購入に充てる予定。

Japan HIV Center

HIVと人権・情報センター　中部支部（名古屋市昭和区）
   
Japan HIV Center supports people who are HIV carriers and AIDS patients. They help provide counseling regarding nursing care and welfare-related paper work, by organizing educational activities and workshops on HIV antibody tests, and by providing consultation services.  Through donated funds in the past from the Walkathon, Japan HIV Center has been able to purchase supplies, transportation expenses, materials for educational activities at schools, and healthcare textbooks for foreigners. They hope to purchase more supplies, provide consultation for foreigners, fund transportation expenses and compensate some of the costs for HIV antibody tests.
   
HIV感染者、AIDS患者の支援を行なう。福祉手続きや介護等の支援の他、AIDS啓発の公演やワークショップ、HIV抗体検査、相談活動など。過去の支援金は、備品、交通費、学校でのAIDS啓発プログラムの教材、外国人向けの健康管理のテキスト制作費に充てられた。今年の支援金は、備品や交通費の他、外国人向けのHIV抗体検査、相談に係る費用に充てる予定。

Nagoya NGO Center

特定非営利活動法人　名古屋NGOセンター（名古屋市中村区）
   
Nagoya NGO Center works to nurture networking between NGOs in the Tokai region (education, health, community development, global citizen education, supporting foreign residents in Japan). This includes the development of various facets of NGOs, from human resources, collecting and sending information, and training. Funds in the past have been used towards human resource training, and plans are to continue using funds from the Walkathon in that way. So far, 33 potential staff members of NGOs have been trained, and some continue their volunteer work after gaining employment within a company.
   
東海地域にあるNGO団体（教育、保健、地域開発、地球市民教育、在日外国人支援など）のネットワーク、人材育成、情報収集発信、開発教育等様々な活動を行なう。過去の支援金は人材育成研修に充てられ、これまでに３３人の次世代のNGOスタッフとなる人材が育った。企業に就職しても活動を続け、NGOでのボランティアを続けている卒業生もいる。

Make a Wish of Japan

メイク　ア　ウィッシュ　オブ　ジャパン　名古屋支部（名古屋市中村区）
   
 “Make a Wish” is well-known in the US, but not in Japan. “Make a Wish” helps children with incurable diseases between 3-18 years of age make their “wish” or dream come true. One of the most popular wishes children have is a trip to Disneyland, and funds for the Walkathon are used to purchases Tokyo Disney Resort Passports.
   
アメリカでは知られているが、まだ日本では認知度が低い。３〜１８歳の、難病と闘う子供達一人一人の夢をかなえるお手伝い。東京ディズニーリゾートに行きたいという夢が多いため、過去の支援金同様、今年の支援金も東京ディズニーリゾートのパスポートの購入に使用したい。

CAPNA (Child Abuse Prevention Network Aichi)

NPO法人　子供の虐待防止ネットワーク　あいち（名古屋市中区）
   
Child Abuse Prevention Network Aichi provides telephone consultation service, enlightenment, investigative research, crisis intervention and preventive activities to prevent child abuse.  Funds in the past have enabled them to make informational materials to leave with people in need of consultation or support.
   
子供の虐待防止のための、電話相談、啓発、調査研究、危機介入（子供を救う）、予防活動を行なう。過去の支援金では、広報用の電話相談カードを作成した。

Yomiuri Hikari & Ai

社会福祉法人　読売光と愛の事業団　中部支部（名古屋市中区）
   
 “Hikari & Ai” is an organization sponsored by the Yomiuri newspaper and operates various activities such as management of an eye bank, work supporting Braille translation and training, supporting book reading and recording volunteers, supporting children living in child-care institutions and helping people with disabilities by organizing volunteers for them.
   
アイバンクの運営や視覚障害者のための点訳、朗読録音のボランティアへの助成やその育成などアイバンクに関連する事業と、養護施設入所児童や重症心身障害者の支援を行なう。

Asahi Shinbun Social Welfare Organization

朝日新聞厚生文化事業団（名古屋市中区）
   
Asahi Shinbun Social Welfare Organization is sponsored by the Asahi Newspaper, and supports a wide range of over 70 activities. Past Walkathon funds provided funding for training courses for caregivers of people with mental disabilities.
   
朝日新聞社の社会福祉事業の実践組織として活動。2007年度は「小児がん街頭キャンペーン」「朝日高齢者福祉セミナー」など70余に及ぶ様々な事業を行なった。過去の支援金は、「知的障害者支援者養成講座」等の助成事業の資金となった。

Vola Mimi Joho-Kyoku

特定非営利活動法人　ボラみみより情報局（名古屋市中村区）
   
 “Vola Mimi Joho-Kyoku” produces a volunteer information magazine for the Nagoya and greater Aichi area, supporting over 150 volunteer activities or events in Aichi, Gifu and Mie prefectures. They also provide and distribute information and facilitate recruiting for volunteer activities. Walkathon funds are used to defer printing costs for printed materials.
   
名古屋市を中心に、愛知県内で発行する情報誌やホームページに、愛知、岐阜、三重での150件以上ものボランティア情報を掲載。ボランティア情報発信とボランティアのスカウトなどのサービスも行なう。過去の支援金は、印刷代として使用した。

Sasashima Christian Center

笹島キリスト教連絡会（名古屋市昭和区）
   
 “Sasashima Christian Center” supports the homeless in Nagoya and works with other citizen and church groups to ensure the homeless are able to receive basic support and respect considered essential in any society. “Sasashima” also cooks and distributes food twice a week. The Walkathon funds are used to cover the costs of these meals that are provided.
   
名古屋市周辺で野宿を強いられている人々の生命と人権を守る為に、キリスト教会各派や市民団体などに協力を呼びかけながら支援活動を行なう。週に２回、炊き出しを行なっている、過去の支援金は炊き出しの費用に充てられた。

Kinjo Rokkaen

社会福祉法人　金城六崋園（名古屋市守山区）
   
 “Kinjo Rokkaen” is an organization that provides support for children whose parents or legal guardian are under difficult circumstances to nurture their children. The children could be orphans or from troubled family backgrounds such as child abuse. They provide daily life support and educational guidance. Funds were used in the past to enable field trips for the children.

保護者及び養育者がいなかったり養育困難な状況にある児童、虐待等で家庭環境に恵まれない児童が暮らす児童養護施設。将来的自立に向け、生活、学習等の指導を行なっている。過去の支援金は、サファリパークへの旅行の費用とした。

Aichi Bone Marrow Bank Support Association

あいち骨髄バンクを支援する会（名古屋市中区）
   
 “Aichi Bone Marrow Bank Support Association” supports patients with blood disease such as leukemia to undergo bone marrow transplantation by encouraging and administrating the registration of bone marrow transplant candidates.  They provide accommodation for patients and their families who need to move away from home while waiting for surgery, and also consultation service for patients and their families. Funds in the past were used to purchase appliances for accommodation facilities, an office computer, and to cover costs for PR materials.
   
白血病などの血液難病の患者が骨髄移植を受けられるようにするため、ドナー募集のための広報活動、ドナー登録会の実施などにより、骨髄バンクの支援を行なう。骨髄移植手術のために転院する患者や、患者家族に生活の場の提供なども行なう。過去の支援金は、患者やその家族の宿泊施設の設備の購入や、事務局で使用するパソコン、及び広報活動の費用に充てられた。

Ami

特定非営利法人　愛実の会（名古屋市熱田区）
   
 “Ami” provides full-day support service for people with physical and mental disabilities, many of which are severe and suffering from multiple disabilities. Their primary goal is to enable them to better integrate with the local community. Funds in the past have helped support facility renovations, field-trips, staff training, and equipment such as computers.  They hope to use funds from this year to enable dolphin-assisted therapy and a puppet show performance.
   
身体、知的障害者のためのデイサービス、ホームヘルプサービスを行なう。利用者のほとんどは重複重度障害者。彼らが地域で生活出来ることを念頭に活動。過去の支援金は、施設改修費、遠足、職員研修、パソコン購入などに充てられた。今年の支援金は、ドルフィンセラピーや人形劇公演活動の費用に充てる予定。
