NIS Habitat Builds Home in Indonesia
(3/21-27) NIS Habitat would like to thank the NIS community for all the support again. With fourteen students and two teachers, we had a successful trip to Bali. We worked on a house in the village of Git Git for one week and basically finished the bottom half. This was considered a special project by Habitat for Humanity Indonesia and the house was given to a woman who was twice widowed. There was some very heavy rain, but that only slowed us down a little. We learned new skills and words, saw new things, tried new foods and made new friends. There was time to do some shopping, sight-seeing, a visit to a local school and even some white-water rafting. Fundraising has already started for our next trip, wherever that may be. Thank you for your support!
